The great thing about drugstore lip products whether it be a lipstick, gloss, plumper, etc., is that you can try so many of them without spending over $20, which is the average price for a high-end liquid lipstick.

I personally prefer drugstore lip products when it comes to experimenting with my makeup or trying a new nude shade just because it is easier and cheaper to do so. They also allow me to figure out what kind of formula I am looking for when it comes to a liquid lipstick, for instance. Now once I have an idea of the shade and formula I want,  I then go to Sephora or wherever online and find something that's similar, and I then invest in the higher quality product to test out.

When it comes to drugstore lip products, the possibilities are endless. From the never ending shade range to all the various ways they dry, it's hard to not come out with something. And while it all can be pretty overwhelming, I've mastered finding the perfect lip products for me at the drugstore and have come to the conclusion that these three products are the best ones for having bomb lips in the summer.

Prep + Moisturize
Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25 |  $7.50
Beauty Tip: Prep your lips before applying any other lip products by moisturizer with a lip balm. Do this while you prime your face for your makeup. By the time you're ready to apply your lipstick or whatever it may be, your lips won't feel chapped or dry out.

Lip Liner
NYX Professional Makeup Suede Matte Lip Liner | $4
Beauty Tip: If you are a POC, especially my loves who are a bit darker in complexion, try using a brown lip liner before using your go-to nude lip color--or any color matter of fact. It helps blend nude colors like a dream, making them look super natural and not oddly contrasting against the skin. I love using NYX's Suede Matte Lip Liner in the shade Sandstorm; it's the perfect rosy clay brown for my medium golden/olive complexion.

Liquid Lipstick
NYX Professional Makeup Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick | $7
Beauty Tip: To avoid wasting product, scrape one side of the flat doe-foot wand back into the tube and focus the remaining product on the middle of your bottom lip. Evenly spread the product by working your way out and then the very center of your top lip. Press your lips together once before applying any more product or touching up your lips. You want to be careful when you layer liquid lipsticks because you don't want your lips to feel dry or crack. This is my favorite formula because it doesn't dry completely down, and it feels super comfortable on my lips.
